Nowhere To Go is currently in post production and planned for release in Spring 2027.
Filmed over four years across Poland, France and the UK, the film traces the experiences of two men who separately cross from Belarus into Poland, survive repeated evictions in France before making it across The Channel in a small boat.
Meanwhile governments introduce increasingly restrictive measures and migration becomes a focal point of public debate, obscuring the realities faced by those caught within the system.
Drawing on lived experience and insight gained through time spent on the frontlines with humanitarian groups, the film reveals how costly deterrence policies appear ineffective and serve only to increase suffering. It explores why people attempt dangerous crossings from countries considered safe, and how smuggling routes emerge in the absence of viable alternatives.
At a moment when much of what shapes these journeys remains unseen, Nowhere To Go offers a closer look at how the asylum system functions in practice, and how its consequences are felt both by those navigating it and by the communities around them.

A boy leaves his village in Afghanistan at 14. On the journey that follows he crosses Iran, Turkey, Greece, Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Italy, France and Belgium, and by the time he reaches the UK he is a man.
Our new audio installation tells his story in quadrophonic sound. It is a visceral, true account of that journey, in an exceptional voice that has gone unheard until now.
It will not be published online. The only way to hear it is in the room, at one of our live events.

To complete the film and prepare it for cinema release, we need to raise £30,000.
